With 30+ years of experience in planning, co-ordination, and project and event management — and our own lived experience with grief — we’re here to make this easier, one step at a time.

Losing someone you love is incredibly hard. Planning a memorial while grieving can feel overwhelming — especially when you’re also managing family dynamics, timelines, and decisions you never wanted to make.

We understand this personally. When I lost my Dad and Courtenay lost her grandfather, we experienced how difficult it is to create something meaningful while carrying grief. I remember wishing we had someone beside us — someone steady to guide us, help us make decisions, and simply hold our hand through the process.
That’s why we created kindred.

As a mother–daughter team, we’ve worked side by side for over five years, building on Leah’s 30+ years of experience in design and project management. Today, we bring that same steadiness and care to families planning memorials and celebrations of life.
